Our T's & C's

1.Booking Form and Deposit of £75.00 should be filled out and returned no more than 14 days after your booking has been confirmed.

2.Receipt of the above will be confirmed and any questions / final queries will be dealt with.If you wish to meet us to discuss your requirements this can also be arranged.

3.If you require an arrangement of a piece that is not in our repertoire, there may be an additional charge of £25 to be made payable to Mrs H Cosgrave at the time of enquiry. If you wish to use this service, the request must be made at least one month in advance. Any requests after this time may incur a higher fee.

4.The quartet will require sufficient space to be able to play, (minimum of 4m x 3m), 4 ordinary chairs without arms, and adequate lighting. If the venue is likely not to be able to provide good lighting please notify us in advance. We would also request 4 glasses of water.

5.Our musicians will take a 5 minute 'comfort break' after 2 hours if required and  10 minutes break for each hour after the 3rd hour of a booking whilst remaining flexible enough to work within your itinerary. For example, the musicians could take one longer break rather than two shorter breaks depending on the length of your booking. We try hard to minimise any need for a break in order to keep the music as continuous as possible.

6.In the event of any quartet member being unavailable for your event we have a pool of regular 'extras' , all professional players who know our repertoire well; we guarantee to provide you with top quality musicians always.

7.We will arrive at least 30 minutes before your chosen start time to set up, check space and lighting & to talk through the itinerary for the event.

8.A room is required in which to store belongings, to get changed and to take any breaks. Please arrange this with the venue in advance so that things run smoothly upon our arrival.

9.The quartet will wear formal and attractive dress. We can try to match your colour scheme, where appropriate.

 10.We are happy to play outside for your event but please bear in mind the following: We are not able to play outside during rain. We are equally fussy if the sun is too hot as our instruments are vulnerable to heat but as long as there is some form of shading to sit under, we are happy to do so.

11.Minimum charge is £470 per event.

12.Balance should be paid either by cash on the day or by cheque no less than 14 days before the event in order to allow for clearing. It is also possible to pay by electronic banking if you prefer.

13.Should you cancel the booking, any deposit will be non-refundable. Bookings cancelled within 30 days of the event will be charged at our full fee (less travel where applicable). However for engagements booked more than three months in advance, no fee will be due and any deposit refunded should you cancel the booking within the first 14 days.
