Meet the Quartet

KIM VAN der KISTE

Kim is a graduate of the Royal College of Music. She also studied at the Purcell School and the Royal Academy of Music. Kim works both as a performer and teacher. She plays with the South West Sinfonietta, the British Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, New Devon Opera, Radio Light Orchestra and undertakes  freelance work. Prior to moving to Devon, Kim toured extensively the UK and abroad. Kim has performed in the Purcell Room, Royal Festival Hall, Carnegie Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Royal Albert Hall.She lives in South Brent, Devon and is the manager of 4tissimo. She also undertakes some of the bespoke arrangements.

 

 

LAURA LINDSEY-CLARK

Laura studied with Jean Harvey at the Royal Academy of Music and at the Birmingham Conservatoire. She has toured in an orchestral capacity all over the World, including the U.S.A and South Africa. Laura plays with the South West Sinfonietta, the British Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, New Devon Opera, Radio Light Orchestra and other freelance work. Laura has performed in major concert halls such as the Royal Albert Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Royal Festival Hall, the Barbican and Carnegie Hall.Laura is currently based in Devon.Laura is one of 4tissimo's in-house arrangers.

HANNAH LINDSEY-CLARK

Hannah is primarily a flautist and gained her qualifications through Trinity College London.She can be sometimes seen putting down her viola to play the flute with the Quartet. She plays with the British Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. Hannah was Principal Flute with the National Children's Orchestra and the Hampshire County Youth Orchestra. She has worked extensively as a freelance flautist and violist and has performed in major concert halls such as the Royal Albert Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Royal Festival Hall, the Barbican and the Royal Opera House of Chile in Santiago. Hannah is the main in-house arranger for 4tissimo.

GREGORY VORSTER

Greg studied the Cello at the Purcell School and the Royal College of Music. He plays professionally throughout Devon and Cornwall including the Orchestra South West, Torbay Symphony Orchestra and the Radio Light Orchestra with whom he plays principal cello.Greg is currently based in Totnes, Devon

 

    

 

 

BRIONY McCREANOR

 

Briony started playing in orchestras from a young age including the Basingstoke Area youth orchestra with whom she was principal cello for 5 years. As an orchestral performer Briony has  travelled extensively and particularly enjoyed touring Hungary, Germany and Austria. Currently playing with the Reading based Aldworth Philharmonic , Briony also performs with associated chamber groups.

Briony studied music at Reading University,  and majored in performance, graduating in 2005 with a First Class honours degree.

Briony has been performing as one half of the Celliano Ensemble since they began in 2010 and joined 4tissimo String Quartet as a cellist in 2012. Briony covers most of 4tissimo's engagements in Hampshire and the surrounding counties but has been known to make a whistle stop trip down to Devon and Cornwall to join us when needed. She particularly enjoys 4tissimo's diverse repertoire. She is also part of an ad-hoc barn- dance band,Cadenza, based in Basingstoke.

 

 

 

 MELANIE BRINDLE-SCULLION

 

 Melanie is a regular viola player with 4tissimo. She went to Dartington College of Arts going on to study at  Trinity College of Music, London.  Currently Melanie is a freelance viola player and is the violinist with the highly sought after  gypsy swing band  the HOT CLUB of STONEHOUSE. Mel also teaches upper strings in schools in Devon.
